NA 027 Optics and Precision Mechanics Standards Committee
Within DIN, the Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V., the German national Standards Committee for Precision Mechanics and Optics is responsible for the standardization in the areas precision mechanics including its application in healthcare technology, micro system technology, optics and photonics as well as jewellery and watches. Its scope furthermore includes biological evaluation of medical devices, clinical investigation of medical devices and tissue engineering. In the field of personal protective equipment the Standards Committee Precision Mechanics and Optics is responsible for standardization in the area of eye protection and of respiratory protective and diving equipment.
